The annual short course for sewage works' operators', will be held at Urbana, March 19th through March 23rd. This is a service to municipalities, institutions and industries, sponsored by the Sanitary Water Board and the University of Illinois, annually. The course makes possible an excellent opportunity for operators to acquire information on the operation and maintenance of sewage works. Every municipality having a sewage disposal plant, should send its superintendent to the course. The cost will be $12.50 for registration fee, made payable directly to the University of Illinois, plus the necessary expense for transportation, meals and lodging. If you have not already done so, your operator should be enrolled immediately. Application should be made directly to the Sanitary Water Board, Room 616, State Office Building, Springfield, Illinois.
At the 32nd American Municipal Congress in Miami in November, the invitation of the City of St. Louis and the Missouri Municipal League to hold the 33rd Annual Congress in St. Louis, was accepted by the Board of Trustees. The meeting will commence on Sunday, November 25th, and will probably continue for three days. This will afford an excellent opportunity for many Illinois Municipal Officials to attend the Congress next year.
