Occupancy is expected by early 1957. Total purchase price including the main building, garage facilities and necessary alterations is $275,000. Based on earlier negotiations, the city will pay 20% immediately and the remainder in 60 monthly payments. . . . Moline's uniformed services are to be increased by eight firemen and eight policemen. . . . Spraying equipment to fight the dutch elm tree disease has been recently purchased by Jacksonville, Moline, East Moline, Winnetka, Evanston, Kenilworth, Wilmette, Glencoe, Highland Park, Lake Forest and Princeton; other communities conducting elm tree census include Ottawa, Freeport and DePue. . . . Ninety officials representing 17 municipalities attended the recent meeting of the Northwest Municipal Association held in Geneseo.
