NRPA AWARD . . .

Pictured (L-R), Ken Olsen, Carl FuersI and Bob Kunkel. Carl Fuerst is presenting Mr. Olsen with a plaque from fhe NRPA for 18 years of consecutive service to the Des Plaines Park District as a park board commissioner. Olsen has served fhe district since 1953. He also served 6 years prior to 1953 as a part time Recreation Director, the first for the park district. A testimonial dinner was recently given to him in honor of his outstanding contribution to parks and recreation in Des Plaines.
