THURSDAY NIGHT SOCIAL: This evening will be a fun packed night featuring a variety of entertainment, including some from local park districts. Paul Derda will serve as Master of Ceremonies. There is no charge, everyone is welcome, and a cash bar will be available throughout the evening. The program will be held in the Grand Ballroom from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. No registration necessary. FRIDAY NIGHT DANCE: The Friday night dance, a first in many years for the conference, will be open to all delegates. A headliner band of Frankie Masters will play for your listening and dancing pleasure from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. The dance will be held in the Grand Ballroom. Pre registration is requested. Tickets are priced at $3.00 in advance or $4.00 at the door. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening. REGISTRATION DESK will be located on the meeting floor level near the east entrance of the hotel. Registration hours are as follows: Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. CONFERENCE HEADQUARTERS will be located on the third floor. COMMERCIAL EXHIBITS will be open as follows: Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed during luncheon); Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The exhibit hall is located in the hall of cities on the meeting room level just across from the grand ballroom. EDUCATIONAL EXHIBITS are located throughout the meeting room level hall areas. ADMISSION to all conference functions will be by badge only . . . WEAR YOUR BADGE AT ALL TIMES. (Tickets for the luncheon and banquet are in the plastic name badge) REGISTRATION FEES will be on the following basis: . . . full member registration for delegates, wives, and guests, $35 in advance; $45 at the door. The lounge will be open throughout the conference and will serve as headquarters for all students. IAPD GET ACQUAINTED ROOM is located on the third floor. (Take the express elevators to third floor then walk straight ahead until you come to the IAPD Room. (Open all day Friday). ALL BUSSES will load and depart from the east entrance of the hotel. This entrance is adjacent to the registration desk. This is of interest to all ladies and those going on the pre conference tours on Thursday. STUDENTS Richard Schroth, a student from W.I.U. is coordinating student affairs for this year's conference. Some sessions have been designed especially for students. But the general philosophy is for students to attend sessions of their choice and mix with the professionals in the field. The Student Lounge will be located on the third floor and will be open throughout the conference. JOB MART A booth will be available for those looking for staff as well as individuals looking for positions. The booth will have a large bulletin board for the posting of positions available.
