Ron brings to the Schaumburg Park District a broad and diversified background in Park Management and in the short time he has been with the Department, has made many notable contributions. ______________________________
Eiermann has served the Park District in several capacities over the past two years. Because of his versatile experience and dedicated service to the Park District, it will be his responsibility to supervise the maintenance program of buildings in the expanding Schaumburg System. ______________________________
Bill attended Danville Junior College for two years and earned his Associate Degree in Applied Sciences in Ornamental Horticulture which also included some Architectural Landscape Design Work. Bill was also named to the "Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges" in 1969. For the past two and one-half years, he has worked for one of the largest nurseries in Northern Illinois in the wholesaling department and more recently as foreman of a landscaping crew. ______________________________

Manual "Bud" Magnus, a long time IPRS member and representative of the Magnus Craft Supplier from New York, recently announced that he is expanding his company. Up until recently his company served Illinois with arts and crafts supplies. Effective immediately, he will also be representing the Artex Manufacturing Company with home offices in Overland Park, Kansas with a list of embroidered T-shirts, jackets, etc., in addition to his old line of arts and craft supplies. In receiving the award he was presented a beautiful plaque citing his twenty years of public service with the same amount of time spent promoting baseball for the youth of Oglesby. The plaque was presented by Phil Brovelli, president of the Oglesby Little League who explained the award was presented on behalf of all who had contacts with the Little League program both past and present during the last twenty years. Reed was credited with "outstanding and constant effort" in promoting the baseball movement in Oglesby. ______________________________
A native of Springfield, Mass., Healey received a B.S. degree in education from Central Missouri State College, Warrensburg, Mo. (1971), and his M.S. degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana (1972). Prior to joining the university, he was a part time graduate teaching assistant at the University of Illinois and was associated with the Urbana Park District. He has also been a physical education instructor with School District #160, Country Club Hills, Ill., the Director of the Youth Center in that city, and worked with the Department of Parks and Recreation in Springfield, Mass. Healey is a member of the Illinois Park and Recreation Society. Illinois Parks and Recreation 30 January/February, 1973 Greg Meyer has been appointed Athletic Director for the Naperville Park District. He has a B.S. in Physical Education and a M.S. degree in Recreation from Southern Illinois University. He was formerly the Director of Southern Illinois University Special Olympics for mentally retarded children and has served both as sports and teen Supervisor for the Carbondale Park District. Robert Shoger has been appointed Recreation Supervisor for the Naperville Park District. Bob is a 1971 graduate of Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He has worked with the maintenance department of the park district for two years before his promotion. He is pursuing a Masters degree in Park and Recreation Administration from the University of Illinois. Jan Westfall is the new Recreation Leader for the Naperville Park District. She is a recent graduate of Western Illinois University where she received a B.S. in Recreation and Park Administration. Active in the student section of IPRS and NRPA, Jan was a recipient of a Talent Grant from a Western Illinois University's Recreation Department. She also worked as a Recreation Director for a Community House in the inner city of St. Louis. ______________________________ The Pekin Park District has employed Wesley J. Dye of Denver, Colorado as Superintendent of Recreation and Arena Manager. Dye holds a B.S. Degree in parks and recreation from Southern Colorado State College and was previously employed in public recreation at Colorado City, Littleton and Denver, Colorado.
