IT MOWS AND SWEEPS

Mathews Company, Crystal Lake, Ill., has developed a 6 ft. wide PTO-driver version of its 3 ft. self-powered Lawn Genie. It's the big Genie for big jobs.

A unique feature is the floating linkage in the three-point hitch which allows the machine to follow the terrain rather than the tractor.

The big Lawn Genie can be purchased as a conventional mower (Model L-72) for cutting parks, school grounds, cemeteries or estate lawns, it distributes the clippings evenly, never windrowing, and leaves a beautifully patterned cut behind. If you want a combination mower-sweeper, Model L-72G, which has a big 34-bushel capacity clam-type hopper, picks up grass clippings, and sweeps up leaves and pine needles from big areas. And for even greater convenience, the operator can empty the hopper without leaving the tractor seat—a big time saver when there's a lot of cutting and sweeping to do.
