whats up with STUDENTS by Terry Fritzmann Students from Illinois colleges and universities represented the IPRS Student Branch at the 1974 NRPA Congress in Denver, Oct. 20-25. At this time, a meeting was held to discuss the 1975 Annual Great Lakes Regional Conference. Everyone in attendance enjoyed the Congress and the sights of Denver. Everyone is invited to attend the 1974 IPRS Annual Conference which will be held in St. Louis at Stouffer's Riverfront Towers on Nov. 21-24. For the first time, a special tour has been designed for students. On Thursday afternoon, Nov. 21, students have the option of touring the SIU campus at Edwardsville and the Granite City Rink. Snacks will be served free and all students will have the opportunity to ice skate. On Friday evening, Nov. 22, at 7:30 p.m., the IPRS Student Branch will hold its annual meeting. There will also be a student lounge for your convenience near the registration area. Recently, a Student Branch business meeting was held at EIU at Charleston, as part of an enjoyable weekend of camping activities at Fox Ridge State Park. All students who seek more information about Student Branch are directed to contact their local recreation society. As a student, you can become more involved in IPRS by writing articles about the activities of your local recreation club. Please send articles to:
