DON ROBERTS has been appointed Assistant Superintendent of Recreation for the Waukegan Park District. The District has established two assistants to function in the administrative capacity for the growing recreation program. His major functions include: athletics; swimming pools; summer playgrounds and pre-school centers. Mr. Roberts has been with the District for three years and previously graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. degree in Recreation. He serves on the Awards and Citations Committee for IPES.

KAY LEWIS is the other newly appointed Assistant Superintendent of Recreation for the Waukegan Park District. Her major areas of responsibility will be the Senior Citizens program;girls' and women's activities; day camps and neighborhood centers. Ms. Lewis holds a B.S. degree from Southern Illinois University with a major in Recreation. She has been with the District for the past year and has been actively working with the Senior Citizens nutrition and transportation programs within the District.

MICHAEL T. JERINA was recently appointed to the position of Landscape Architect for the Waukegan Park District. In his capacity, he will be responsible for park planning and development for the District, acting as general assistant to the Superintendent of Parks & Golf Courses. Mike received his B.L.A. from the University of Illinois.

DAVID A. NOVAK has been appointed Superintendent of Recreation for the Park District of Forest Park. Mr. Novak, a 1973 graduate of Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Recreation has been employed at the Park District since April 1, 1974 as Recreation Supervisor. Mr. Novak's background includes working as a Gymnast Instructor at Jackson County YMCA, Counselor of a Carbondale, Illinois Camp for the Handicapped and Out-Camp-Director for Anderson Camps in Colorado. Dave's duties at the Park District include running an established year round recreation program as well as coordinating any special event programs.

JERRY ZWOLAK has been appointed to the newly-created post of Superintendent of Parks & Golf Courses for the Waukegan Park District. Previously, he served as Superintendent of Golf Courses for the District for three years. Jerry's major field is Agronomy which he studied at Pennsylvania State University.
