TIMOTHY D. ROYSTER has
been appointed to the position of Director of Parks & Recreation for the Geneva Park District. Tim has served the district for four years as Superintendent of Recreation and one year as Assistant Director. Prior to his coming to Geneva, he was Director of the Golf Maine Park District.
Tim received both his B. S. and M.S. in recreation and park administration from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
Tim is active in both the state and regional professional organizations and is currently President-elect of the Suburban Park & Recreation Association.

BENNY SKELDON has recently been appointed as the Executive Director of the Kankakee Valley Park District. Benny has been employed as Sports Director, Assistant Ice Rink Manager, Assistant Recreation
Director, and Recreation Director for the Kankakee Valley Park District during the last 4 1/2 years. In addition to his Park District position, Benny is also the Amateur Softball Association's Regional Commissioner for the Kankakee Area.
Benny holds a Bachelor of Science Degree, with a major in Recreation and a minor in Business from Eastern Illinois University. Benny is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and is a member of the Illinois Park and Recreation Association's Society of Park and Recreation Professionals Association and the National Parks and Recreation Association.

JEANINE WILCOX has recently
joined the staff of the Oak Lawn Park District as Recreation Coordinator. Her responsibilities include program planning and female athletic activities. Jeanine received her B.S.
Degree in Recreation and Park Administration from Western Illinois University in 1976. Ms. Wilcox was previously employed by the Chicago Park District as a physical
instructor.

The Oak Lawn Park District is proud to have the services of RAY OCHROMOWICZ on their staff as Recreation Coordinator. Ray received his B.S. degree in Recreation and Park Administration from Western Illinois University in 1977 before coming to Oak Lawn. His primary responsibilities are the swimming pools and athletic programs.

The Oak Lawn Park District announces the promotion of Ms. PAM KOS to the position of Superintendent of Recreation. For the past two years Pam has served in the capacity of Recreation Coordinator. Ms. Kos'
responsibilities in her new position will encompass the total supervision of the Recreation Department and it's five full time employees. Pam is a 1976 graduate of Illinois State University holding a B.S. degree in Recreation and Park Administration.

Mr. RICHARD PRENDERGAST was recently appointed to the position of Ice Arena Manager at the Oak Lawn Park District. Mr. Prendergast is a graduate of Chicago State University where he received his B.S,
in Recreation. He comes to the Park District with varied ice arena experience encompassing management, coaching, instructing and refereeing. Mr. Prendergast was a member of the Chicago State Varsity Hockey Team.

For outstanding accomplishments or contributions in the field of parks and recreation—the Daniel L. Flaherty award for park excellence was recently awarded to the Arlington Heights Park District, Arlington Heights, Ill.
