The 1979 Legislative Golf Outing is scheduled for Friday, August 3 at the Wheeling Park District Chevy Chase golf course in Wheeling, Illinois. Members of the General Assembly will be invited as guests of the Illinois Association of Park Districts to attend this day-long event.

This program provides you with an opportunity for all commissioners and professionals to get together with our legislators and discuss district needs and concerns in a relaxed park setting. Please support this activity sponsored by your Joint IAPD-IPRA Legislative Committee.

The day's activities will include 18 holes of golf, cocktail hour and a banquet. Hopefully legislators will be present from all 59 districts to enjoy a day of fun in the sun. This year's event will also include swimming, tennis and racquetball activities. Member park districts are asked to make personal contacts with legislators from their district and invite them to attend the outing.

Last year's golf outing was a tremendous success with over 30 legislators, 44 commissioners and 30 staff in attendance. The banquet had an attendance of over 200 participants.
