Four days of fun and excitement in observance of apple harvest time. 14-17 Morton (Tazewell) — 17th Annual Pumpkin Festival featuring all the pumpkin pie you can eat. 15-16 Utica (LaSalle) — Turn of the Century Celebration at Starved Rock State Park. Music, games, costumes highlight observance. 23-25 DuQuoin (Perry) — Southern Illinois Folk Festival, DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. 24-25 Bishop Hill (Henry) — Jordbruksdagarna (Agricultural Days) Swedish farming festival. Tours, crafts, food. 24-25 Galena (Jo Daviess) — 34th Annual Tour of Historic Homes. October 1-2, Lewistown (Fulton) — Spoon River 9-10 Scenic Drive Festival — Special drama events, outdoor flea markets, tours of sites of Edgar Lee Master's Spoon River Anthology. 1-2 Pleasant Plains (Sangamon) — Fall Crafts Festival, Clayville Rural Life Center. More than 100 crafts demonstrated. 8-9 Chicago (Cook) — Tenth Annual Historic Pullman House Tour, 614 E. 113th St. Model town built in 1880 by George Pullman, 22-23 Metropolis (Massac) — Fort Massac Encampment. Reenactment of French and British battles to capture fort. 27-Nov. 2 Sycamore (DeKalb) — Pumpkin Festival, Sycamore, Hundreds of carved pumpkins exhibits on court-house square.
