ILLINOIS DELICIOUS APPLE CAKE

Grease lightly and flour 9 x 13" pan or two 9" pans.
3 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups salad oil

Use large mixing bowl.

Beat eggs. Add sugar gradually, then oil. Add:
3 cups sliced delicious apples (use delicious only)
1 cup chopped pecans

Sift together:
3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
Add 2 tsp. vanilla

Mix well, but be careful not to over-beat, or apples will turn into sauce instead of small bits.

Start with cold oven — bake at 325° for 45 to 60 minutes. Test with toothpick.
