April 14 Sugar Grove — Easter Arts and Craft Show at Waubonsee Community College. 100 exhibits. 14-29 Chicago — Spring and Easter Flower Show, Lincoln and Garfield Park Conservatories. Hundreds of spring flowers on exhibit. 28-29 Sumner — Old Settler Days at Red Hills State Park. Display of oldtime skills such as spinning, weaving and black-smithing. 28-29 Decatur — Yesteryear Antique Show at Masonic Temple. Hundreds of antiques. May 5-20 Lombard — Lilac Festival. Tulips, lilacs, flower sales, museum tours. 6-13 Springfield — Blossom Time at Lincoln Memorial Gardens. Dogwood and other spring flowers. 10-15 Chicago — International Art Exposition at Navy Pier. Exhibits by 180 of the most prestigious art galleries from Europe, Japan, South America, United States, and Russia. 11-12 Edwardsville — Southern Illinois Regional Senior Olympics at SIU-Edwardsville campus. 13-19 Benlon — Rend Lake Water Festival. Variety of water activities. 26-28 Rockford — Rock Vale Children's Home Balloon Rally. Proceeds for Children's Home. 26-28 Wheaton — Gem and Mineral Show at DuPage County Fairgrounds.
