EDITOR'S DESK ....
A NEW INNOVATION AT THIS YEARS ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE ANNUAL CONFERENCE
For perhaps the first time in history, the three Illinois General Assembly Committees that deal with most municipal legislative issues will hold a special joint subcommittee hearing at the League Conference.
The leadership of the House Committee on Cities and Villages, the House Committee on Counties and Townships and the Senate Committee on Local Government will conduct a special hearing for delegates to our 72nd Annual Conference. This will be an opportunity for you to personally participate in the legislative process. You may present specific problems or enter into general discussion.
If you have a specific problem you may wish to prepare a written statement (10 copies) for presentation to this committee.
This hearing will be from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 25 in the Boulevard Room at the Chicago Hilton and Towers.
The ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL REVIEW continues to be an open forum of expression for municipalities. Articles appearing in the Review do not necessarily express the views of the League or its staff but those of the various authors.
