The Franklin Creek Preservation Area Committee was one of seven groups to receive an IAPD Merit Award. IAPD Vice-Pres. Linda Wander, Downers Grove Park District, made the presentation.

Jack Claes, director, Elk Grove Park District, was given a certificate of appreciation by the IAPD for his district's assistance in producing a Legislative Training Video which can be used by the IAPD and IPRA memberships. Kevin Kendrigan, director, Northwest Special Recreation Association, and Bill Kelly, cable productions coordinator, Elk Grove Park District, were also honored tor their work on this project.
