The Illinois Municipal Treasurers Association (IMTA) will hold their annual meeting and Seminar at the Springfield Hilton June 26-28.

The activities will begin Sunday at 1:00 p.m. with the nominating committee interviewing potential IMTA Officers. Registration will occur from 2:00-5:00 p.m. The IMTA Board of Directors will meet from 4:00-5:30 p.m. An opening reception is scheduled from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Sunday evenings dinner will be "Dutch Treat".

Registration fees prepaid before June 16, 1988 are $75 for IMTA members. After June 16 and for non-members the fee is $100. Guests may attend the Monday/Tuesday luncheon for $8 per meal. Guests attendance at the Monday banquet is $13.50. Attendees should send their name, title, city/firm(s), address along with the appropriate fees to Mrs. Pat Wright, City Treasurer, City of Canton, 210 E. Chestnut, Canton, IL 61520.

The base registration fee shown above includes two continental breakfasts, two luncheons, President's reception and the Annual Seminar Banquet. As you know, the fee also covers the outstanding agenda developed by the Seminar Committee.

The Illinois Department of Registration and Education has approved the IMTA Regional Meetings, Seminars and the Eastern Illinois University Institute as a qualified sponsor of CPE Programs. Certified Public Accountants can now get CPE credits for hours in attendance at these functions. Further information or questions pertaining to CPA credits may be satisfied by Brad Bettenhausen, CPA, Village of Tinley Park, IL, or Dennis Thiel, CPA, Village of Paris, IL.

Treasurers, Finance Officers, Commissioners or similar Officers of an Illinois Municipality may become an active member of the IMTA. You need to send your name, title, address and $20 check to Dennis Thiel, Membership Chairperson, 123 S. Central Ave., Paris, IL 61944-0604. Others who interface with Municipal Finance can become an Associate with a $40 check to Mr. Thiel. •
