Mr. John M. Costabile, CMC/AAE, City Clerk/Finance Director of the City of Chicago Heights, Illinois, has been accepted into the IIMC Academy for Advanced Education of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. The Academy is the professional body of municipal clerks who have continued their high level of educational achievement beyond the attainment of the prestigious Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) Award . . .
Thelma Zeiler, Village Clerk, Village of South Roxana, Illinois, has been awarded the designation "Certified Municipal Clerk" (CMC) from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) for achieving its high educational, experience, and service requirements.
Mrs. Zeiler has been Village Clerk for the Village of Roxana for 13 years . . .

Roosevelt T. "Rosie" Begnoche passed away May 30, 1988. "Rosie" served for 24 years on the Kankakee City Council. Served many years as an assistant Sergeant-at-Arms at the League's Annual Conference . . .
Al Gunia, LaSalle, former six term councilman, Mayor and Vice-President of the Illinois Municipal League passed away on June 9 after a six month illness.
