CERTIFIED CITIES PROGRAM

Thirty-four municipalities in Illinois have earned the Distinction as a "Certified City". This program is conducted by the ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS.

In order to qualify you must meet a criteria for certification in twenty-one areas such as municipal administration, environmental improvement, recreation and cultural facilities, business and industrial environment, educational, etc.
