The City of Marquette Heights (Pop. 3077) a small suburban municipality located 7 miles southeast of Peoria is recruiting for the position of Police Chief. Appointed by the Mayor with approval of the City Council. This position includes patroling a duty shift, as well as directing the activities of a department composed of two additional full-time officers and seven part-time officers. Successful candidate must have demonstrated communication, management and supervisory skills in law enforcement with a thorough knowledge of principles and practices of police administration. Graduation from an accredited high school, with formal training in modern police administration or equivalent education required. Must be certifiable with Illinois Police Training Board. CHIEF OF POLICE
The Village of Glen Ellyn is located in the Chicago Metropolitan area, 22 miles west of the city, in the center of DuPage

BUILDING INSPECTOR
