Des Plaines City Clerk Donna McAllister administered the oath of Deputy City Clerk to Joanne M. Linke on May 1, 1991 in the City Clerk's Office. Linke, a Des
Plaines resident for 25 years, has served the City for the
past 13 years, 12 of which she served as the Engineering
Department Secretary and prior to that as a Cashier. . .
Skokie Trustee George Van Dusen has been
awarded the prestigious Donald C. Stone Award,
which is given to those demonstrating "the highest
standards of intergovernmental cooperation," according to the selection committee. Previous winners include Minnesota Senator David Durenberger, (former)
Vermont Governor Richard Snelling and (former)
Arizona Governor Bruce Babbitt. . .
Mrs. Karen Pedersen, CMC/AAE, City Clerk for
the City of Prospect Heights, Illinois, has been accepted as a member in the IIMC Academy for Advanced Education of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. The Academy is the professional body
of municipal clerks who have continued their high level
of educational achievement beyond the attainment of
the prestigious Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC)
Award. . .
