From the NOTE: On October 22, 1991 the Seventh Circuit granted the Ottawa Jaycees' petition for rehearing en banc in the case of Doe v. Small, discussed in last month's issue of The Review. ("Holiday Displays: Is Your Municipality Violating The Establishment Clause.") Thus, the Seventh Circuit's opinion of May 28, 1991 is vacated and the appellate process will begin anew. You will be advised of any further significant developments in this litigation. • GREGORY BRUNST NOMINATED FOR AWARD Gregory Brunst, Director of Environmental Services for the Village of Addison, has been selected as the 1991 Suburban Branch nominee for the Charles Walter Nichols Award. The Charles Walter Nichols Award acknowledges outstanding and meritorious achievement in the field of Public Sanitation which includes street sanitation; refuse collection and disposal; sewers and wastewater treatment; and water supply and treatment. The Suburban Branch of the Chicago Chapter of American Public Works Association will present Brunst with a certificate, along with other branch award recipients, at an awards luncheon to be held at the Wellington Restaurant in Arlington Heights on January 28, 1992. •
