March 1992 Municipal Calendar

This calendar is based upon the most current information, court decisions and legislation of which the League has knowledge as of the date of this publication. It supersedes similar information contained in all other League publications.

By March 31st of each year, the corporate authorities shall cause the zoning map to be published. If there are no changes from the preceding year, no map shall be published. (Ch. 24, par. 11-13-19.)

Where the Act has been adopted, members of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners are to be appointed by the mayor or village president. However, no such appointment shall be made by the mayor or president within 30 days before his term of office expires. (Ch. 24, pars. 10-2.1-1,10-2.1-2.)
