From the The Village of Addison has received national recognition as a "1991 Tree City USA" by the National Arbor Day Foundation. This is the fourth time Addison has received this award. A comprehensive community forestry program, village tree ordinance, forestry department, and the observance of Arbor Day contributed to Addison's eligibility to become a "Tree City USA". The program is sponsored by the National Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the USDA Forest Service and the National Association of State Foresters. . . . Mrs. Marguerite Hoyt, CMC/AAE, City Clerk of the City of DeKalb, Illinois, has been accepted into the SUSTAINING MEMBERSHIP of the IIMC Academy for Advanced Education. The IIMC Academy for Advanced Education was instituted in 1981 to further the professional education of municipal clerks to enhance their skills as needed to meet the challenges of the office of municipal clerk. . . . Elaine Vorel, Deputy Clerk of the Village of LaGrange, Illinois, has been awarded the designation of "Certified Municipal Clerk" (CMC) from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) for achieving its high educational, experience, and service requirements. Mrs. Vorel has been Deputy Clerk of LaGrange since 1977. Previously she was the Village Clerk of Woodridge, Illinois (1973-1975). •
