Conference March 23-25
Springfield, Illinois — The 11th Annual Illinois
Women in Government Conference will be held March
23-25 at the State Capitol Complex in Springfield, conference planners announced recently.
In line with this year's theme, "The Quality Challenge," opening session on Thursday will feature Elizabeth Hollander, Executive Director of the Government
Assistance Project. Hollander and members of her staff
will conduct the session on "Reinventing Government
from the Inside Out," highlighting Chicago-area programs that are successfully applying Total Quality
Management (TQM) principles to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
Other major topics include: an overview of National
Health Care Reform, the Impact of Health Care Reform on Illinois, a Perspective on the 1994 General
Election, Helping Communities Help Themselves, and
Community Based Services in Illinois.
