Mid-Year Lobbying Effort
Illinois was well represented at the National Recreation and Park Association Mid-Year conference in Washington D.C. in March. A highlight was the Day on the Hill. On March 13, all attendees were encouraged to meet with members of Congress and staff to share local and state views about critical park and recreation issues and help advance NRPA's national agenda.
As shown here, the sizable Illinois delegation met with Representative Peter Roskam of Wood Dale in his Washington office.
