Kids enjoy a leisurely float down the 320-foot lazy river, just one of many features of the Splash City Family Waterpark, which opened in July of 1998 at the Collinsville Area Recreation District. Designed by Counsilman/Hunsaker & Associates of St. Louis, Mo., the 1 2-acre park features zero-depth entry, two water slides, volleyball and sand play areas, a tot pool and splash area equipped with sky shooters, squirt bikes and other water effects.
