ON THE COVER
Good wishes can last a long time. The cover shot for this issue comes from a 1997 Christman card sent to IAPD from the Granite City Park District. The photo shows a garden beneath one of the more than 1,000 trees in Wilson Park, which has often been called the jewel of the city. In the frigid days of February, there's something comforting and hopeful about these Valentine red tulips, even if they are covered in snow.
