A bird's-eye view postcard of Camp Grant in Rockford, Illinois, a recruitment and training facility for soldiers in both World War I and II. On the back of the postcard, recruit William Anderson wrote these words on May 28, 1918: "Well I'm in the army now & like it. Some place & good grub." Illinois Heritage 28 |Home|
